Capacity building through training and mentorship play a critical role in overall intervention outcomes. Integrating Care for Early Childhood Development (NCfECD) into services targeting caregivers and children is crucial in helping children to survive and thrive to achieve their full developmental potential. The health system provides an opportunity to developmental outcomes since it interacts with caregivers and their children during the critical window of opportunity for development; conception to age three.
