Collaborative Action for Childcare

The Collaborative Action for Childcare (CAC) is a Pan-African platform for cooperation, co-creation, co-innovation, and learning initiated by Uthabiti Africa to accelerate quality, affordable childcare for all.

Our Vision

We envision a well-coordinated sector where there is little unhealthy competition, where children are safe, where childcare work is dignified, where childcare micro-entrepreneurs can thrive, and children have a better start in life. This is a sector where local actors are well-funded, where information is shared, and where governments are in the lead in the quest for quality, affordable childcare for all.

Main Objective

Cultivate a culture of joint ecosystem-wide action towards delivering quality and affordable childcare services.

Key Focus Areas

  • Enhance pooled learning and resource mobilization
  • Enhance research and evidence generation
  • Strengthen partnerships and coordination
